DOTAN, Ala. (WTVY) – Dothan Police are searching for two teenagers they say are involved in a fatal shooting along the National Peanut Festival parade route.
The fatal shooting was caught on camera on Saturday morning.
Investigators have identified two persons of interest. They are asking the community for help in locating 18-year-old Mekhi Nasir Lawton and 18-year-old Mark Quinton Small Jr.
Police told News 4 the shooting started as an argument near the intersection of West Main Street and Montana Street.

Garion Tyrone Fluellen, 22, of Dothan was killed. DPD says Fluellen was shot in the chest.
He was taken to Southeast Health where he died. The second victim was shot in the chest and is in stable condition, Dothan police said.

The Dothan Police Department says the identities of anyone who wishes to help in an anonymous capacity will be strictly protected and protected.
Amid heightened vigilance, extra police personnel will be present for tonight’s peanut festival at the fairgrounds. DPD says they have no reason to believe this incident is in any way related to the Peanut Festival, this illegal behavior by individuals with no regard for anyone else in a place where thousands of people have gathered to watch a parade.
Police promise not to stop until the individuals responsible for this act are taken into custody and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
