A 22-year-old woman is in critical but stable condition after a shooting in Auburn Saturday, according to a news release.
The Auburn Police Department responded to East Alabama Medical Center’s Free-Standing Emergency Department at an unknown time Saturday in reference to a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The woman was able to speak with officers before being airlifted to a trauma center in critical condition, according to the release.
An investigation soon began and investigators soon discovered a crime scene in the 400 block of North Donahue Drive in Auburn. According to the release, a person of interest has been identified but is not currently in custody.
According to officials, the person of interest is known to the victim.
