GUWAHATI: Amidst the uproar over app-based taxi services like Ola and Uber, the Assam government is reportedly mulling to start a taxi service in Guwahati.
Notably, the plan to launch an App-based taxi service in Guwahati by the Assam government is following many complaints from passengers and drivers.
While the passengers were complaining about the behavior of the taxi drivers, on the other hand there were strong complaints from the transport drivers.
According to reports, the government taxi app service will be launched under the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC).
Many commuters in Guwahati have been complaining about the sky-high prices of taxi services like Ola and Uber.
