On Sept. 28, shots were fired at a home on Grandview Boulevard in New Sudbury.

Police have arrested and seized a vehicle believed to be connected to a Sept. 28 shooting on Grandview Boulevard in New Sudbury, but the GSPS suspect who fired shots at a home that day remains at large.

At 9:40 a.m. on Sept. 28, police were dispatched to a residence on Grand View Boulevard in New Sudbury following reports of shots fired at a residence on the street.

Responding officers found evidence of gunshot damage to the home. No one is hurt.

GSPS said the investigation led them to a 19-year-old man who was arrested Oct. 5 on Notre Dame Avenue East in Azilda.

He was charged with reckless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unlawful possession of a firearm and mischief under $5,000.

The accused was in court on October 6 on bail.

Police also seized a white 2007 Hyundai Sonata vehicle, which they say was used in the shooting.

While one person was arrested and the suspect vehicle was seized, GSPS said the person they believe fired at the residence is at large. A photo of the person can be seen above.

“This is believed to be a targeted incident and there is no information to suggest it is connected to the October 5 shooting on Willow Street,” GSPS said.

Anyone with information on the identity of the shooter or the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.
