Fact: The video shows a fire incident in Bangagarh area of Guwahati, Assam. On 20 August 2022, the fire was caused by a cylinder explosion that occurred inside a shop located under the Bhangagarh flyover. Firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire, and no injuries were reported. However, no fire incidents have been reported in Barabanki town recently. Therefore the claim made in the post is NO LOSS
First of all we searched the internet to check if there is any such incident reported in Barabanki but no such incident has been reported. Then, we performed an inverted video search using the key frames extracted from the viral video. Several users on Twitter posted the same video in August 2022 saying that a cylinder blast took place in Bhangagarh, Guwahati on 20 August 2022. These posts can be viewed here and here.
Fueled by this, we searched for news about this incident. India Today, Guwahati plus, one of India and Northeast Live reported his accident. A comparison of the footage from the viral video and the news footage confirms that the two are the same.
According to these reports, on 20 August 2022, a huge fire broke out in a shop in Bhangagarh area of Guwahati, Assam. The fire was caused by a cylinder explosion that took place inside the shop located under the Bhangagarh flyover. Firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire, and no injuries were reported.
In summary, this video shows a fire explosion in Guwahati area of Assam. Recently, no such incident has been reported in Barabanki.
