Basic Knowledge
Pathology & Microbiology:
(i) A recognized MBBS degree certificate listed in First or Second Schedule or Part-II or Third Schedule (other than license degrees) of the Medical Council of India Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule shall also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Medical Council of India Act, 1956(102 of 1956).
(ii) Graduation certificate in the relevant specialization mentioned in Part -A of Schedule-VI or its equivalent from a recognized DNB degree issued by the National Board of Examinations
Psychiatric Nursing & Psychiatric Social Work:
(i) I or II class (55%) Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing/Social Work
(ii) M.Phil in Psychological Social Work or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
(iii) Ph.D in Psychiatric Social Work/Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized Institution/University

Essential Experience:
Pathology & Microbiology : At least five years of teaching experience as Senior Resident/Internship/Registrar/Teacher in a recognized institution after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in which at least two years he will be an Assistant Professor.
Psychiatric Nursing & Psychiatric Social Work: Minimum of 5 years of teaching & research experience in a concerned specialty / of which 2 years as an Assistant Professor in a recognized institution.

Pathology & Neurology: Minimum of three years teaching experience as Senior Resident/Internship/Registrar-Teacher/Lecturer in a recognized institution after graduation
PSW & CP : 3 years teaching / clinical / research in relevant subject after Ph.D.
Psychiatric Nursing: 3 years of teaching/clinical/research in relevant subject after Ph.D.
