Two judges held that exclusion of SCs, STs and OBCs from the EWS category was illegal, he said. Along with many other parties, the Congress supported the Constitution Amendment Bill in the Parliament even though a joint parliamentary committee was asked for the same for detailed scrutiny, he said. Acknowledging that each of the five judges has raised several issues, Ramesh said the Congress is now studying them.
