PHILADELPHIA – An early morning shooting outside a Philadelphia nightclub injured six people, authorities said, including one in critical condition.
A man opened fire on a crowd outside the Trilogy nightclub in the Northern Liberties neighborhood north of downtown just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
A 26-year-old woman was taken to Jefferson Medical Center in critical condition after being hit in the chest, police said. Two 30-year-old women, a 31-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man and a 37-year-old man are in stable condition.
Captain John Walker told reporters that an argument that started inside the club continued outside and turned into a brawl, with one man shooting another, hitting him and other victims.
No arrests were immediately reported. A man who showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound and an injured man seen on gas station surveillance video may have been victims of the same incident, police said.
