ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (FOX CAROLINA) – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies are investigating a shooting that left two people injured at a gas station near Abbeville Highway.
Deputies said they responded to Stop A Minute (formerly Eddie’s Mini Mart) just before 12:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they learned two people had been injured in a shooting in the parking lot. Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies initially believed three people were injured in the shooting, but further investigation revealed there were only two.
One of the people injured in the shooting was later released from the hospital and taken into custody. The suspect, Latrenton Greenlee, was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. She added that he had a history of domestic violence and other crimes.
They believe the attack involved a group of people known to each other who met at a gas station.
About 30 deputies responded to the scene this afternoon. Investigators are trying to gather details about the situation.
It is currently unknown how many people were in the group or how old they were.
