GILA BEND, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) – Two people were killed in a shooting at a party in Gila Bend on Saturday afternoon.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Papago and Euclid avenues in Gila Bend around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy found two older males who had been shot. The two were identified Sunday morning as 25-year-old Emmanuel Boyd Arroyo and 26-year-old Noah Ezaria Arroyo Jr.
Officials say the suspects left the scene before deputies arrived. Cristiana Ramos spoke to members of the community who wished to remain anonymous. “It’s sad, it’s unbelievable, so unbelievable… one of them has three girls and a son,” said one woman. “These kids were very well known. It will affect the city, but it will affect the village of San Luis more,” she added.
Detectives are investigating what led to the shooting. No information about the suspects is available at this time.
