A group of men broke into the victim’s suite, attacked him with bear spray and then shot him. The seriously injured youth was admitted to the hospital, but later his condition improved.
The same suspects are connected to another incident the same day when a Westgrove Way home was broken into by a man armed with a gun and bear spray.
The man sprayed mace inside the house, which hit several people, including several small children.
Officers arrested the 18-year-old Winnipeg man hours later and charged him with multiple counts of possession of a weapon and assault, among other offences.
On Monday, a second suspect was arrested in another gun incident on Alexander Avenue around 4:15 p.m.
A 20-year-old suspect is being held in jail on charges of aggravated assault.
