JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Police Department has confirmed that two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at the Rodeway Inn.
According to JPD, 32-year-old James Brown and 20-year-old Keanna Massengill were taken into custody about two hours after the shooting Monday night.
Police said 32-year-old Travis Hulsey was shot and killed during an attempted robbery at the motel property around 6 p.m. Monday. Halsey died of his injuries at the scene.
Brown is charged with first degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, especially attempted robbery and tampering with evidence. Massengle is charged with first-degree murder and especially aggravated attempted robbery. Both were arraigned Thursday morning in Jackson City Court.
Police said that a third person is still wanted in connection with the incident. Charles Wilson, 31, is wanted for first-degree murder and aggravated robbery. Wilson is not in custody at this time.
