LUCINA CITY – Three security guards escaped being shot by unknown gunmen in Saria town, Quezon province on Saturday night (Nov. 12).
The Quezon Police, in a report on Sunday, November 13, said assailants in a white van with no plate number appeared in Sitio (subvillage) Dalampasigan, Barangay (village) Guis-Guis Talon, Dalampasigan at around 10 p.m., and opened fire. Muslimin Lim, Norodin Ibrahim and Ismael Panalandang are all security personnel assigned to oversee a piece of land in the area.
The report also says that Ibrahim was able to fire at the assailants.
After firing, the gunmen ran away.
All three guards who were shot were injured and taken to a hospital in the town centre. The victims were confined for further treatment till Sunday afternoon.
Shells from a 5.56 rifle, four bullet casings from a .45 caliber pistol, two shells from a .9mm pistol and one bullet shell from a shotgun were recovered from the crime scene by investigators.
Police are conducting further investigations to unmask the shooters and establish their motive.
