A shooting in the Mexican state of Guanajuato on Wednesday night left nine people dead and two others wounded.
Local police said a group of armed men appeared at the bar in Apasio El Alto around 9pm on Wednesday night and started firing weapons at people inside.
Although the suspects have not been identified, the officials said posters were left indicating “a criminal gang”. It is common for cartels to leave posters and messages after killing others.
After the shooting, local authorities said they would move additional law enforcement into the area, including the National Guard.

In October, 12 people were found dead in a bar in Irapuato, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato. In another shooting in September, 10 people were killed.
According to the New York Post, one of the letters left behind by the Santa Rosa de Lima group read, “You get mom out of here.”
