Home Minister Amit Shah today said that Assam and the North Eastern region have moved forward on the path of peace and development in the last eight years of the BJP rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier, Mr Shah along with BJP president JP Nadda inaugurated the party’s new headquarters in the presence of Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Executive Himanta Biswa Sarma, state party chief Bhabesh Kalita, Tripura chief Manik Saha and others.
The leaders then walked through all the floors of the six-storey building named after former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.
Mr Nadda also stonewalled nine district party offices while Shah pushed further to do the same for 102 BJP state offices in the state.
