The teenagers were arrested in connection with the shooting at Coachella earlier this month.
The shooting happened on November 2, 2022 at around 4:20 pm at the intersection of Balboa Street and Westerfield Way. A search was conducted in the vicinity but no injuries were reported in the shooting.
Around 2:00 a.m. Friday, patrol deputies and the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) responded to a residence in the 52300 block of Calle Camacho in Coachella and arrested the two teenagers. They were taken into custody and booked into the Indio Juvenile Hall.
One of the teenagers was charged with shooting into an inhabited dwelling, possession or possession for sale of methamphetamine, and the other with shooting, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault with a deadly weapon.
