RCMP say 26-year-old Tristan William Hughes-Nissuck of Sherwood Park, Alta., died Wednesday morning after a shooting in Melville, Sask.
Police are searching for two suspects after a gun-related homicide in Melville, about 135 kilometers northeast of Regina, prompting the RCMP to issue a critical alert Wednesday morning.
The alert was canceled on Wednesday afternoon after police said the shooting was a targeted attack and therefore there was no further risk to the public.
Another person was injured in the shooting and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. No further information about him has been released.
The police said on Friday that the accused have not been found and no arrests have been made.
Police have not received further information such as physical descriptions, pictures or identities.
