DRIPPING SPRINGS – On Saturday, Nov. 5, deputies responded to the 1300 block of Trinity Hills.
A male subject and A
Awesome driver. A short time later, deputies responded to the 100 block of Victoria Court
Further investigation related to disturbance.
When deputies arrived at the Victoria Court residence, an earlier disturbance,
John File, 28, exited the residence armed with a knife. He rushed
The deputies and one of the deputies fired several rounds, shocking File. A 78-year-old woman
She was also shot in the hand at the residence.
Both were taken to local hospitals, where File was pronounced dead at 1:58 a.m
The injured woman was undergoing treatment.

According to Hays County Sheriff’s Office policy, the Texas Rangers were called to the scene to assist.
With shooting. This is an active investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
