COBB COUNTY, Ga – A gang member was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting at a rival gang, Cobb County District Attorney Flynn D. Brody Jr. announced.

Four people were changing a tire on their vehicle in the Country Cove subdivision in Powder Springs when Tavier Dye shot them and their vehicle. The occupants of the car returned fire and left the area.

Shortly after this shooting, Dye sent a threatening text message to an acquaintance of the victims, saying he would always shoot first.

The occupants of the car that Die shot were later pulled out. During that traffic stop, police noticed bullet holes in the body and window of the vehicle.

Police found that they were involved in the shootout with Dye.

Search warrants on social media led to more evidence related to the shooting and evidence of Dye’s involvement and ties to 2 solid gangs.

On Dy’s social media, he bragged about shooting and firing at opposition members of the 2Solid gang.
