AEW and the wrestling world are still feeling the impact of CM Punk’s All Out media scrum rant. WWE veteran Dutch Mantell (fka Zeb Colter) believes the two-time AEW World Heavyweight Champion has done Tony Khan and his promotion a disservice.
During the post-AEW All Out media scrum, the multiple-time WWE Champion spoke about his teammates, former teammates Colt Cabana, and EVPs The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. This leads to a brawl in Punk’s locker room between The Elite, Punk and his friend Ace Steel. When Tony Khan became aware of the conflict, he had no choice but to stop everyone involved.
AEW is currently teasing the return of the Elite in the form of hidden video collections. Although all three are back, it is widely believed that Tony Khan is looking to sell out the remainder of CM Punk’s contract.
During this talk, WWE veteran Dutch Mantell weighed in on Punk’s future plans. On the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk, Mantell said that he believes that Punk is taking legal action against The Elite and also thinks that the two-time AEW World Champion will win the legal battle .
“I think he (CM Punk) has a lawsuit… But, for me…I don’t think Punk is going to lose. Because, just by their angry entrance, he can tell that they are listening to his interview, they get angry and decide to get up right now like some sweats,” said Dutch Mantell. [5:40 – 6:39]
CM Punk’s partner was released from AEW
As mentioned earlier, the person who came to CM Punk’s aid during the match was Ace Steel. Steel is the next producer for the company. He allegedly tried to hit The Young Bucks with a chair and bit Kenny Omega.
It was also reported that Steel did his job to protect his wife, who was also in the locker room.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer first reported that Ace Steel has been released from AEW.
Since then, Steel has moved on and, according to his social media, he’s open for business.
