In a strange incident that happened in Cachar district of Casam city, the principal of the primary school was killed after he came to the school with a machete. The video of the incident went viral on social media, prompting the police and the education department to take action against the head teacher named Dhritimedha Das, who is 38 years old.

Mr Das resides in Tarapur area of ​​Silchar and has been a teacher for more than 11 years at Radhamadhab Buniyadi School.

On Saturday, the police were called from the school and rushed there to find the teacher with the machete.

Police sources said that the suspended teacher claimed that he was angry and frustrated because of the mistakes made by other teachers, and he was trying to warn them to show the machete.

He has been suspended, but not arrested, as other teachers or the school administration have not yet filed a formal police complaint.
