KARIMGANJ: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by six minor boys in Assam’s Karimganj district and all the accused have been arrested, police said on Wednesday.
All six boys are between 13 and 15 years old, according to police.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Karimganj, Partha Pratim Das said the incident took place on November 1 in Ramkrishna Nagar area of the district.
“According to the complaint of the girl’s parents, she was alone at home when the incident took place. The boys entered the house by force and raped her one by one. They also did the same on their phones and then shook hands. “ASP said.
At first, the girl was shocked and scared, and did not tell anyone about the crime she had committed.
She later informed her parents, who filed a complaint on Monday, Das said.

The police have registered a case under various sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses, 2012 (POCSO), he added.
“We have arrested all the six criminals, aged between 13 years to 15 years, and their mobile phone videos have also been recovered,” the ASP said.
Blood samples and other evidence were collected and sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis, he added.
“The boys have been sent to a juvenile home and further investigation is underway,” Das said.
