The University of Virginia’s main campus in Charlottesville is on lockdown following reports of a shooting, and a suspect has been identified, the University of Virginia Police Department said.
Police tweeted that there was a shooting on Culbreth Road. A campus shelter-in-place was ordered at approximately 10:40 pm ET.
It is currently unclear if there have been any injuries or deaths.
