FLINT, MI – A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed early Sunday morning during a drive-by shooting in Flint, police officials said.
The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, in the 2900 block of Branch Road.
According to police, the child was inside the home when a suspect fired shots into the home from a vehicle. The child was taken to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
No suspects are in custody.
The case is being investigated by the Flint Major Case Unit, which includes detectives from the Flint Police Department and the Michigan State Police.
The shooting is Flint’s 37th homicide this year, according to the latest crime data provided by the Flint Police Department. Last year till November 6, 56 murders took place.
