New Delhi [India]November 14 (ANI/SRV): Assam Royal Global University held its second conference on 11th November, 2022 at 3.45 PM.
It was chaired by the University Visitor, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam, and was welcomed by the Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari as the Chief Guest, along with the Education Minister of Assam Dr. Ranoj Pegu, the guest of honour. The lamp of the ceremony was lit by the officials who attended and started the event well. Chandra Mohan Patowary, Minister of Environment and Forests, Act East Policy Affairs, Welfare of Minorities and Bimal Bora, Minister of Industries and Commerce and General Business, Cultural Affairs welcomed the event.
The meeting ceremony, which was declared open by Dr. AK Pansari, Chancellor, with the permission of the University Visitor, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi Governor of Assam, University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) SP Singh, delivered the Welcome Address and presented the University Report for the Academic Year 2021-2022. Prof. (Dr.) Singh highlighted the growth of the university which from its inception offered 55 courses from 13 schools to now offers 136 programs from 27 schools to 5051 students, including international students, and now part of 25 MoUs, which is gradual. but the significant growth of the research and innovation culture of the university, with more than 1500 publications of good research, several remarkable innovations, 127 publications, 32 book chapters and 68 publications in conference proceedings by professors and students among other notable aspects of the varsity.
Dr. AK Pansari, the president of Royal Global University encouraged the new graduates of the university, congratulated them and reminded them of the importance of hard work and patience. Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam State, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chief Guest emphasized the important role that knowledge plays in the society, encouraged the students to use their abilities and knowledge to explore the raw materials, potential, and resources of the state to inspire future technologies. thereby contributing to the vision of Prime Minister Atmanirbhar Bharat, the growth of India’s economy and the shaping of a prosperous future for the nation; and Dr. Ranoj Pegu, the Education Minister of Assam who addressed the August convocation congratulated the university on the auspicious occasion and wished the Royalties for their future endeavours.
951 graduates received their diplomas and degrees, which included 30 Gold Medals, 36 Silver Medals along with 2 Chancellor’s Gold Medalists, 5 Silver Medalists and Distinguished Service Medals. Excellence in Counseling, and Excellence in Sports. Assam Royal Global University has conferred Honoris Causa, on three different persons – Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Year Chair of Science Professor, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science, Ms. Patricia Mukhim, Editor, The Shillong Times, and Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Chancellor, Lovely Professional University, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.
