A soldier was killed and 4 soldiers were injured in an accident in Assam
The slain jawan was identified as Lance Naik Prabin Tamang, a native of Darjeeling in West Bengal.
A soldier was killed and four others were injured in a car accident in Assam’s Tamulpur district on Monday, a defense spokesman said.
The army vehicle carrying five people was coming from Narangi district of Guwahati region and was heading towards Darranga Field Firing Range when the accident took place, he said.
“The car’s tire exploded, causing the accident, near Geruapar, about 10 km from the capital city of Tamulpur. One of the sacks was killed and the rest were injured,” said the spokesman.
The slain jawan was identified as Lance Naik Prabin Tamang, a native of Darjeeling in West Bengal.
The injured soldiers were taken to the Guwahati Base Hospital, where they are in a good condition, said the spokesman.
