SILCHAR: The parents of a student studying in a non-government madrasa in Swadhin Bazar area of Sonai Circle in Cachar district of Assam have filed a complaint against the madrasa authorities accusing them of teaching racism and inciting other religions to its students.
Shahab Uddin Khan, father of Sain Khan, who is studying in Class VIII of Swadhin Bazar Islamia Madrassa, filed a complaint against principal Maulana Abul Hussain Laskar and secretary Faqrul Islam Majumdar at Sonai police station on November 11.
“The director of the madrasa often calls my son to his room in the evening and makes him angry with the Hindu. He tortured him several times. When I found out about this, I withdrew my son from the institution on October 20.” Shahab told the media late on Tuesday.
Responding to his FIR, Sonai PS registered a case under several sections of IPC.
However, the management committee of the madrasa, which has 142 students, dismissed the allegations and said they were deliberately false.
