Meeting details
The DGP also said that madrasas are at least three km apart and prefer to have 100 students. Madrasahs located within a distance of three km should be merged. The meeting also discussed the establishment of management policy in madrasahs and advising students who leave these institutions. Parents of madrassas have been asked to submit detailed information in written form by December 1.

What could be the reason for this?
Several madrassas in the region have come under the spotlight after teachers working in these institutions were arrested earlier this year for allegedly having links with Al-Qaeda in India (AQIS) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT).
