Kohima, November 7 (EMN): Fourteen teams from Assam, Manipur and Nagaland have confirmed their participation in the upcoming 9.th Kohima Volleyball Open 2022 (men and women), starting on November 9 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Nine men’s and five women’s teams will participate in the tournament.
Chairman Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB), Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, will grace the opening ceremony as a special guest.
Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) president, Visasielie Suohu, will deliver the welcome address while KDVA technical committee member Visapa Yongo will swear in the participating teams.
Kiruphema Youth Organization (KYO) will face St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama.
The conference organizing committee has asked all teams to arrive at the venue at 11 am on November 9th.
All teams are asked to bring their own flags and sports equipment.
Meanwhile, the organizing committee has reminded all concerned that there will be a one-day refresher training for the referees (old and new batch) on November 8, which will take place at the Indira Gandhi Stadium. Kohima, from 9 am.
