Assam Power Distribution Co. Ltd has issued two separate tenders to develop 100 MW of floating solar and 50 MW of ground-mount PV projects in the region. Projects must be developed in a cross-functional framework.

Assam Power Distribution Co. Ltd will award 100 MW floating solar and 50 MW ground-mount PV projects through a tariff-based competitive bidding process followed by a reverse auction. The ceiling price has been fixed at INR 4.76/kWh and INR 4.40/kWh, respectively. APDCL will purchase the power generated for a period of 25 years.

The contract for the project closes on 7 Dec.

The successful bidders for 100 MW floating solar power will develop these projects in different water bodies to build them for self-management, and will supply the solar power to APDCL.
