AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR BODIES
1. Special bids will be received under the seal of the Douglas County School District Superintendent of Douglas County, Minden, Nevada, for the activities set forth in the Bidding Documents for DHS HVAC Renovations. Applications received on or before 10:00am December 16, 2022 at Douglas County School District Office, 1638 Mono Avenue, Minden, NV 89423. Applications will be opened and posted after 10:01 am at Douglas County School District Office, 1638 Mono Avenue, Minden, NV 89423. The successful candidate will be announced upon application opening. December 16, 2022, after a thorough review by the District to ensure that the request is responsive and responsible. The District shall make a recommendation for the award to the Board of Trustees above December 23, 2022. The Douglas County School District Board is expected to consider awarding the contract at their scheduled meeting
always January 10, 2023.
2. The tasks set for the DHS HVAC Renovations located at 1588 SR 88, Minden NV Removal of existing HVAC systems and system upgrades. The estimate for this work $833,070.
3. No bid will be considered unless it is followed by a binding bid in the form of a Certificate or Deposit, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid .
4. Application Documents may be viewed on the Douglas County School District website.
5. Copies of Application Documents will be available from 8:00 am November 2, 2022 & can be downloaded from the Douglas County School District website for free at: https://dcsd.net/pf4/cms2/view_ page?d=x&group_id=1537427840345&vdid=pi21dd2099gio below Construction Application Documents and the appropriate heading DHS HVAC Renovations.
The minimum license fee is set by the Nevada State Contractors Board, and the contractor must be able to bond in this regard. Contractors may register their interest in bidding by emailing Scott McCullough, Project Manager at smccullough@ douglasnv.us (Subject List DHS HVAC Renovations) before December 9, 2022. Registration as a digital subscriber requires receiving email notifications to the program from the Owner’s website where all articles and attachments are posted.

7. The Regular Wage Rate established by the State Labor Commission shall be paid on projects with a contract value of $100,000 or more. The State Labor Commissioner has assigned a Public Works Project Number to this project, and that’s it DO-2023-085.
8. NRS 338.147 provides for a 5 percent applicant’s interest in eligible applicants. The provisions for preference are contained in the contract documents.
9. A preliminary meeting for this project will be held on December 1, 2022 at 3:00 pm on site at 1670 State Route 88, Minden.
10. The project must be approved before construction.
