SIVASAGAR: Police in Charideo district of Assam have seized a large cache of explosives in Sonari town.
A woman from Nagaland was also arrested by the Assam police in connection with the arrest.
At least seven cartridges filled with explosives were seized by the Assam police from the Nagaland woman.
The arrested woman has been identified as Bheri Mizo, who hails from Nagaland.
The explosives were seized by the police from Sonari in Assam from a rickshaw during a routine check at the Namtola check gate.
Meanwhile, the driver of the auto-rickshaw named Adam Toti was also taken into custody for questioning.

Earlier, the explosives were transported to Sonari from Guwahati, in a night bus.
Later, the woman tried to smuggle the explosives in cartons to Nagaland through the Namtola check gate, where she was produced and caught.
The small town of Namtola in Charideo district is the last point of Assam before it enters Nagaland state.
