Florida police have arrested a man for allegedly shooting and killing another man’s dog during an attempted robbery last week.

Tampa Police Chief Mary O’Connor said at a press conference Thursday that 17-year-old Jayden Harris was arrested in connection with last Friday’s shooting during a robbery. WTVT-TV reported.

The outlet reported that Giovanni Ruiz was walking his two 7-year-old dachshunds when one approached him with a gun, demanding money.
