How established is your dispute resolution team and what are the biggest challenges you face as a team when handling cases in this sector and how do you overcome them?
Our litigation practice has a deep understanding of the relevant and applicable law and is always up-to-date. In the market, we are considered the go-to company for dispute resolution. For example, more than 45 people are in and out of court every day. Our dispute resolution process is well established with independent offices and robust systems. As we handle a large number of dispute cases, we need a tool to help us organize and manage them, so we developed our own software to handle all our dispute cases . This system sends notifications to the team, allows access to reports, provides programming, and more. It’s a unique, home-grown and effective tool that I’m very proud of.
How is Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants working to nurture the UAE economy and society?
As one of the oldest companies in the UAE, we feel responsible for society. We decided to move forward and integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into all our operations. We have done quite a few projects. One of them, as most readers know, is our partnership with Dubai Tourism on their ‘Dubai Can’ lifestyle initiative. Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants manufactures and distributes its own drinking bottles, which can be refilled for free at water fountains around the emirate.
Another association close to our hearts is the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC). We have pledged to provide 100 pro-bono hours of legal consultation and training for DFWAC staff on a wide range of law-related topics.
We have pledged 1,000 hours pro-bono to the Dubai Legal Affairs Department. Last but not least is our graduate program and internship program, which provides legal experience to more than 20 trainees and trainees each year.
With a legacy spanning nearly four decades, what growth strategy do you envision for the brand over the next decade?
What has helped us as a company is our ability to adapt to constant changes in the economy and business culture. Determining one’s ways is not the way forward. Changing as the market changes is a powerful strategy.
Understanding what our customers need is important. But knowing what will be needed tomorrow is even more important.
