Diphu, November 1 (EMN): As per Assam Micro-Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme (AMFIRS), 2021 in part – II, a total of 428 women beneficiaries of Karbi Anglong who have taken loans from various financial institutions, have been provided assistance by the Assam government. .
The relief checks were distributed by HAD Minister, Jugen Mohan in the presence of Chief Executive Officer (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang at a distribution ceremony held at Sarsing Teron (Langkung Habe) Memorial Town Hall in Diphu on Tuesday.
The minister who spoke at the scene said that Karbi Anglong is no longer a backward district, noting that the district is progressing at a fast pace.
He said, “My job is to facilitate the delivery of funds and clearing the portfolio as quickly as possible. There will be no work. If files are waiting for progress it will suffer. “
The minister said that the third phase will be extended by the state government to people who are unable to pay their debts.
The CEM of KAAC said that in Assam led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the AMFIRS system, women who have taken loans from microfinance but are unable to repay their loans will be given to the state government.
An amount of INR 12 crore has been given to repay the loan arrears, the CEM said.
