Kohima/Guwahati, Nov 7 (SocialNews.XYZ) Assam’s Sivasagar district administration has imposed night curfew on a 5 km belt of state land bordering Nagaland to prevent movement of militants, anti-social elements and illegal activities, officials said. Monday.

A news release from the Nagaland government said that the night curfew will continue until December 9 from 6 pm to 6 am.


Citing the notification of the Sivasagar district administration, the Nagaland government statement said that the movement of any person, group of people, vehicles are prohibited during the night curfew period.

However, judges, security personnel and civil officials on duty are exempted from the purview of the banning order, she said.

Assam shares a 512-km border with Nagaland.
