Albany, Ga. (WALB) – No injuries were reported after a witness said a man jumped into his car and fired shots at another vehicle near a high school, the Albany Police Department (APD) reports.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South Harding Street and Lippitt Drive near Monroe High School.
While she was at the intersection, one of the four men jumped into her car and began shooting at an SUV, which was carrying four people, a witness to the shooting told police.
It is not known if the vehicle was hit by bullets, and the witness did not report any injuries related to the shooting to police.
After the incident, an Albany officer and a Dougherty County school police officer met to examine evidence that found the 9mm bullet. The report also states that officers viewed video evidence of the group of four before and after the shooting, according to APD.
The witness described him as a black man wearing a black and blue jacket, light blue jeans, a camo mask and a black hood.
This incident is currently being handled by APD investigators.
