Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Bureau homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for shooting one victim and attempting to kill two additional victims at a birthday party. The suspect was captured on nearby surveillance video.
The homicide occurred on October 23, 2022 at 1:57 a.m. in the 300 block of East 62nd Street, just east of Royalty Market, located at 6200 South San Pedro Street. The victims were outside the vehicle when they were shot by the suspect. The suspect fled eastbound on 62nd Street in the deceased’s vehicle, described as a black 2007 Mercedes-Benz. The vehicle was found abandoned on the northbound 110 Freeway at Exposition Boulevard. Detectives obtained still images of the suspect’s face from the video.
The suspect is a Hispanic male between the ages of 18 and 22. He is approximately 5’6″ to 5’9″ and weighs approximately 170 to 180 pounds.
