EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – A man is dead south of Colorado Springs and an investigation is underway.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office reports they received a call from a man and woman regarding a “domestic disturbance” that led to the shooting. The incident happened at 3:28 a.m. Saturday in an area at Pemmican Point, southwest of Pikes Peak International Raceway.
“Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division responded to the scene and began an investigation,” part of a news release from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. “The El Paso County Coroner’s Office will not release the victim’s name at this time pending identification and notification of next of kin. There is no threat to society. This is an active investigation and information will be released as the investigation allows.
The victim was publicly identified as a man. It’s unclear if anyone will face charges in connection with the incident.
