KALAMAZOO, MI – Police have released the name of the man killed in an early morning shooting Friday.
Bryce Salter, 21, of Kalamazoo was shot and killed on Friday, Nov. 11, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

Salter arrived at a Kalamazoo hospital around 3 a.m., where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are investigating whether his death was a homicide.
The shooting happened on West Michigan Avenue, near the intersection near Howard Street, KDPS said.
Shots were reported near 2941 Howard St., Western Michigan University police tweeted at 3:46 a.m. and told people to use caution if in the area.
Salter was not a WMU student, spokeswoman Paula Davis said.
