Residents of Noapara also reported this to the Police Langpih Outpost, saying that people have been opposing this since 2021.
They said that the Assam government with the help of the Assam police has constructed this road illegally.
A police team from Langpih station along with Aradonga Out Post officers went to the spot to investigate the matter on Thursday.
In their investigation, they found that the Assam led by the Assam PPP official along with the Circle Officer of Boko PS, were at the site and guarding the JCB used for the construction of Noapara road. He was then stopped by 50-80 people from Noapara who were against the construction of the road at the site.
The police informed that the people did not want to cooperate and refused to listen to the police officers of both Assam and Meghalaya.
The police also said that a man named Dambar Bhatrai from Noapara was responsible for bringing the MGNREGA scheme without proper discussion with the people of Noapara and did not inform Rangbah Shnong of Nongshong Shnong about the project, which will connect Kyrshai village. People say that this is what created the whole village.
No information was given to Rangbah Shnong except that Secretary Shnong knew about this MGNREGA scheme.
