Authorities were searching for a man suspected of involvement in a Covina house party Sunday, Oct. 30, that left two people dead and two others injured.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the shooting occurred Sunday night during a Halloween party at a residence in the 17000 block of East Bellbrook Street, a neighborhood in the unincorporated county area.

Authorities announced Tuesday, Nov. 1, that Joel Daniel Garcia, 19, was the suspect in the shooting and wanted for attempted murder.

Ronnie Benitez, 20, of Covina was killed. A second man, who has not been publicly identified by the coroner’s office, later died at a hospital
