A teenager was arrested in connection with last month’s shooting at Coachella.
The shooting occurred on Oct. 9, 2022, at a residence in the 85300 block of Cairo Street. No one was reported injured in the initial shooting.
Around 7:00 a.m. Thursday, the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), assisted by the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET), served a search warrant on Avenue 51 in Coachella. During the investigation, CCAT identified a male juvenile criminal street gang member as the suspect in the shooting.
The teenager was taken into custody during a search warrant and arrested at Indio Juvenile Hall and charged with attempted murder.
