ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) – Elyria police have arrested and charged two people, including a 15-year-old boy, in the shooting death of a 24-year-old man at an apartment complex last Thursday.
Officers first received a call for reports of shots fired at the Midview Crossings Apartments on Middle Avenue on Oct. 27 at 7:46 p.m., according to a department press release.
Investigators found 24-year-old Jordan Flannigan at the apartment complex with gunshot wounds. He died on the spot.
With the help of the US Marshals Service and the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department, police arrested 15-year-old Nathaniel President and 22-year-old Antwon President of Elyria on Nov. 4 in connection with the shooting. . Elyria Police Capt. Phillip Hammonds confirmed the two are brothers.
Officials confirmed that Nathanuel was charged with two felonies, one second-degree felony, while Antwon was charged with tampering with evidence and discharging a firearm near a prohibited place.
Elyria police detectives are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 440-326-1213.
