According to court records, Henry’s attorney requested that the sentencing be moved to Thursday, and the request was made the same day in open court.

According to District Attorney Greg Miller, unrelated to the case, a person is allowed to go into court on a misdemeanor charge and make a motion, if that person has an attorney who know how to do bad court.
Miller explained, “It’s allowed. We as attorneys can move those court dates at our discretion for no additional charges, unless the prosecutor is available. generally, those court dates can be moved if there is an agreement between the two parties.”
However, according to Miller, for a person without a face, it is not an easy task.
“I think it’s very difficult to get through a court date without an attorney,” Miller said. “You know, they can file a motion to continue the trial, but without knowing who to contact the court and how to get that process, it’s more difficult for someone who doesn’t have a lawyer. They should contact the court and file a proper motion to proceed with the trial date.”
Regarding the jury’s order for Henry’s sentence, Miller explained that, in his view, the mayor’s role was similar to that of a person accused of a crime.
