The Legal Industry and Law Firms Need Automated CRMs to Save Time | Media Pyro

The legal industry is in a rapidly changing technological landscape. Until recently, lawyers lacked software solutions designed for the unique needs of their profession, including timekeeping, billing, document security, and data collection. Lawmatics CEO Matt Spiegel joins the podcast Everything but the Law to share how custom legal systems can solve two of the biggest issues for legal businesses: saving time and getting more business.

Save Time

The surest way to save time is to have a legal software to do it for you. Automation saves a lot of time because it’s automated for a new law firm. The average business saves 15 to 20 hours per week by automating tedious tasks like setting up signs.

Increase Business

In addition to saving time, machines increase efficiency beyond what you can achieve with human power alone. Take this example from Matt’s experience as a criminal defense attorney in California: you represent a client who has been charged with a DUI. That customer can do new business because they want the DUI expunged from their record after waiting three years in California. It doesn’t do you any good to manually track that schedule, stay connected, and keep the necessary records for all your customers with that kind of repetitive effort. The system will do all the work for you automatically. It can automatically send an email to that customer letting them know they’ve opted in to download.

A CRM system provides all kinds of data, such as insights on how to increase your ability to handle repeat business and increase the ratio of revenue to your customer acquisition cost. You can define key performance indicators (KPI) related to your company’s business model and know that you are spending your money in the most effective way: what types cases that generate more revenue, what types of cases cost more. to get, what trades provide the best for your budget. Those KPIs are important in making strategic decisions for improving your company’s business.
