A few weeks ago members of the Violent Crime Reduction Unit (VCRU) were seen driving a vehicle with a front plate and a stolen rear plate. The man was taken into custody and investigators discovered the suspect had multiple outstanding warrants for which he was arrested.

The defendant was sued for warrants and the vehicle was impounded for a search warrant. During the search, the stolen gun was found inside the bag on the driver’s seat. Probable cause was developed to charge the man with first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. However, the accused was released from jail earlier.

Last week, VCRU members located the man at a motel in South Everett. As officers attempted to apprehend him, he threatened officers and became aggressive.

Once again, the man was charged with probable cause for first degree unlawful possession of a firearm as a result of the search warrant and additional charges.

He is also a suspect in a September shooting in Everett, officials said.

Police booked him into the King County Jail on firearms charges and a DUI warrant.

On Wednesday, Seattle police officers responded to the 1500 block of SW Holden Street for a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store.

SPD said the suspects entered the store, pulled a gun on the clerk, emptied the register, and filled two shopping bags with everyday items.

The suspects fled and a K9 responded to assist with a track. Guardian 1 responded and provided air support during the search.

A K9 track was completed where the getaway vehicle was believed to have been parked, officials said.
