Police are trying to break up a chaotic scene that left two people injured after a fight inside a Chinatown/International District restaurant early Saturday morning.
At 12:30 a.m. Saturday, witnesses called police to a restaurant in the 200 block of South King Street. When officers arrived, witnesses said two women had gotten into an argument over an ex-boyfriend and were barely aware when one of them started shooting.
The police examined the surveillance video which captured the following scenes.
(We know it’s confusing, so bear with us)
The video shows Woman 1 approaching Woman 2 while sitting at a bar. Woman 1 then attacks Woman 2, leading to a physical altercation. Male 2 and Male 1 approach the two female subjects when Male 2 attacks the female from behind. Man 2 then engages in a physical altercation with Man 1. At some point in the video, Man 2 and Man 1 separate and Man 2 appears to pull a knife from his pocket. Man 2 attacks Man 1 from behind, stabbing motions to Man 1’s back. A bystander takes Man 2 to the ground and holds him there.
Man 3 appears with his gun at Man 2, who at the time was holding a knife.
While Deer 2 is on the ground, Deer 1 approaches Deer 2, and Deer 1 shoots Man while Deer 2 is on the ground. Man 1 approaches Man 3 as he exits the building. Then Man 3 shots at Man 1.
Police arrested Man 1 and Man 2, who were treated and released from Harborview Medical Center and will be taken to the King County Jail. Man 3 had a valid concealed carry permit and was not arrested, but his gun was taken into evidence while the investigation continued.
