HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – A second Hattiesburg man has been charged with murder in connection with a Nov. 2 shooting on West Fifth Street that killed two people and injured three others.
Hattiesburg Police said Malik Moore, 20, of Hattiesburg was taken into custody Thursday with the assistance of the Forrest County Sheriff’s Department.
Hattiesburg police said Moore has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence in connection with the shooting.
HPD said Moore was taken to the Forrest County Jail for booking.
Moore is the fourth accused in the case.
Jordan Willis, 19, of Hattiesburg recently updated his charges. In addition to tampering with physical evidence, he is charged with two related counts of aggravated assault after the murder and three related counts of aggravated assault in connection with the incident.
Justin Williams, 20, of Hattiesburg has been charged with first degree murder, assault and tampering with evidence.
Both had bond set and are both in the Forrest County Jail.
A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with two related counts of murder and three related counts of aggravated assault in connection with the shooting investigation.
The teenager was admitted to the Juvenile Detention Center. The details of his case are being withheld due to his age.
