Assam: NDA won 12 out of 22 seats in Deori assembly
About 80 percent of the 43,595 voters cast their ballots on Tuesday.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 12 of the 22 seats in the Deori assembly elections on Thursday, an official statement said.
The Saffron Party won 11 seats while the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) won one seat, according to a press release from the office of the secretary of the Assam State Election Commission (ASEC).

The opposition Congress managed to win two seats, while independent candidates won eight constituencies after the day’s counting was completed, he said.
About 80 percent of the 43,595 voters cast their ballots during Tuesday’s polls.
The 22 districts are spread across six districts and four districts in other districts.
Reacting to the poll results, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted: “The resounding victory of @BJP4Assam & allies in the Deori Assembly elections revives public confidence in our government led by the vision of Adarniya PM Shri @ narendramodi ji.”
